Deja Vu Museum Berlin – REGULATIONS

Preamble

The legal relationship during the visit to Deja Vu Museum, between Deja Vu Museum GmbH, represented by Managing Directors Tomasz Jankowski and Chris Jankowski, Rochstrasse 14 C, 10178 Berlin, and the natural and legal persons (>>visitors<<),

General Provisions

of Deja Vu Museum, hereinafter referred to as the “Museum.”

* “Visitor” – for the purposes of this document, refers to any person who visits the Museum’s exhibition and participates in the events organized by the Museum.

* The Museum is open from Monday to Sunday, from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM.

* By entering the Museum, every visitor accepts the provisions of this document, referred to as the “Museum Regulations,” and declares that they have familiarized themselves with them and agree to fully comply with them.

* Information for visitors with disabilities can be obtained from customer service.

* Detailed information about the Museum’s operations, opening hours, ticket prices, as well as temporary closures of exhibition areas or exhibits, is available at the Museum’s ticket counter, on its website, or on social media.

* Due to the size of the Museum and the nature of its exhibition, there are certain restrictions on the number of visitors allowed inside at the same time. Therefore, the Museum reserves the right to temporarily suspend entry if the visitor limit is exceeded.

* The Museum reserves the right to restrict access to certain exhibition rooms and elements.

* Every visitor inside the Deja Vu Museum is required to familiarize themselves with the information signs displayed on walls, ceilings, and near exhibits, especially those related to emergency exits, in order to avoid improper use of the exhibits and to prevent any risk to their own health and safety or that of their dependents.

* Information regarding events organized by the Museum is available on the Museum’s website, at its ticket counter, on Facebook, and on other social media platforms.

* Visitors are obliged to follow the instructions of the Museum staff at all times until they leave the premises.

* Children up to 14 years of age may visit the exhibition only under adult supervision. Parents and guardians are responsible for them and must take all necessary measures to prevent any damage caused by the children/dependents. They are liable for any damage resulting from the improper behavior of their children/dependents.

* Organized children’s groups are required to remain under adult supervision at all times.

* The Museum operates a surveillance system (monitoring) that records and stores images.

* The use of the restrooms is restricted to persons who are visiting the Museum or participating in its events.

* When using the stairs, keeping to the right is mandatory, and special care must be taken when going up or down.

* The Museum’s equipment may only be used for its intended purpose.

* Persons suffering from epilepsy or other health disorders are exposed to the risk of a seizure due to the intensity and brightness of the lights (e.g., from the strobe lights). Entry is at their own risk and under the responsibility of their guardian. The Deja Vu Museum accepts no liability.

Admission Tickets

Every person who purchases an admission ticket confirms that they accept these visitor regulations.

* Admission tickets can be purchased at the Museum’s ticket counter or on the Museum’s website.

* Payments at the Museum’s ticket counter can be made in cash or by debit/credit card – information about the accepted card types is available at the counter.

* Discounted admission tickets are sold upon presentation of a document that entitles the holder to a discount, applicable both when purchasing on the website and at the Museum’s ticket counter.

* Information regarding groups of persons eligible for discounts and the types of documents that confirm this entitlement is available at the Museum’s ticket counter and on its website.

* The price indicated at the time of purchase is final.

* All prices are listed in euros and include VAT.

* The Museum issues VAT invoices in accordance with the deadlines and conditions specified by applicable law. The Museum is authorized to issue electronic invoices and send them as PDF files to the purchaser’s email. For individuals, VAT invoices can only be issued in the name of the person who purchased the ticket(s).

* In the event of museum closure for reasons independent of the museum (disasters, cataclysms, terrorist attacks, national mourning), cash and debit card payments at the museum ticket office will be refunded.

* In the event of the Museum’s closure for reasons beyond its control (disasters, catastrophes, terrorist attacks, national mourning), cash and card payments made at the ticket counter will be refunded.

* The Museum reserves the right to introduce additional fees beyond those included in the price list for events organized by or held at the Museum.

* In accordance with health and safety regulations and other workplace safety rules, the Museum reserves the right to regulate the number of admission tickets sold.

The following are prohibited:

* Bringing luggage larger than 55 x 35 x 20 cm into the Museum is prohibited. Bags, luggage, and other items brought by parents or guardians of children with health issues are allowed. Backpacks and bags must be carried by hand.

* Bringing in items that could disturb other visitors by causing dirt or damage, or that could soil or damage the Museum’s equipment, is prohibited.

* Bringing animals into the Museum is prohibited.

The following is also prohibited:

* Consuming food and drinks is prohibited.

* Smoking cigarettes and e-cigarettes in the Museum is prohibited.

* Running

* Using mobile phones.

* Entering prohibited areas (technical rooms, etc.) is prohibited.

* Sitting on or leaning against the small tables on which the exhibits are displayed is prohibited.

* The exhibit “Plasma Balls,” also called “Plazma Boll,” may only be touched with a finger or the palm of one hand. It is prohibited to touch it with other body parts, hit it with the palm, or perform similar actions. Special care should be taken when using electronic devices near the exhibit, as they may be affected; devices should be placed in a safe location. Individuals with heart or neurological conditions, as well as pregnant women, are prohibited from touching the exhibit.

* In the exhibits/mirror rooms, visitors must walk only on the dark flooring. It is prohibited to step on the mirrors or cross areas separated by barriers.

* In the fully completed mirror rooms, visitors must remove their shoes before entering. Jumping and striking the mirrors with any part of the body are prohibited.

* Entering areas marked, for example, by barriers, is prohibited.

* The Déjà Vu Museum accepts no responsibility for any damage or injury to the “visitor” resulting from improper behavior in the mirror rooms.

* It is strictly forbidden to touch the mirrors, except for the exhibit called “Abyss,” where visitors are allowed to enter without shoes and touch the mirrors only with their feet.

* It is prohibited to touch equipment used for climate control or any other installations that protect the collection and the Museum.

* The visitor is aware that the Museum’s exhibition is protected by copyright and that compliance with the regulations does not grant any license to the visitor.

The following is prohibited:

* Photographing and recording (audio or video) the surveillance system, other installations, staff, and any other persons present in the Museum is prohibited.

* Obstructing Museum staff in the performance of their duties or interfering in any way with the functioning of the Museum is prohibited.

* Entering the Museum under the influence of alcohol or illegal substances, disturbing other visitors, causing public order disruptions, or deviating from accepted standards of personal hygiene is prohibited.

* Organizing public gatherings, conducting business, distributing advertisements or announcements, or engaging in any other commercial activity without the Museum’s consent is prohibited.

* Photography and video recording conducted for commercial purposes, professional activity, or any non-private or non-personal use requires the Museum’s consent. Inquiries can be made by contacting the Museum’s main office.

* In the event that a visitor violates the Museum Regulations, they may be asked by Museum staff or security personnel to leave the Museum, which must be done immediately. In such a case, the visitor is not entitled to a refund for the purchased admission ticket.

Complaints

* Returns of admission tickets and reservations made electronically are only accepted until 12:00 AM on the day before the event. After this deadline, no refund of the ticket price is possible.

* Visitors may submit complaints or claims to the Museum.

* Complaints can be submitted online, sent by email to info@dejavumuseum.de, or mailed to Déjà Vu Museum GmbH, Rochstrasse 14 C, 10178 Berlin.

* Complaints must include the first and last name of the person submitting the complaint, their address (postal or email), and a description of the subject of the complaint.

* If the information provided in the complaint is insufficient, the Museum will request the necessary details. The response will be sent to the address provided in the complaint. The Museum is not responsible for complaints submitted incorrectly, particularly if the visitor provides false or inaccurate information.

* The Museum is not responsible for information sent via email that is filtered by the Museum’s anti-spam system.

* The decision of the museum concerning the complaint is final and does not affect the statutory rights of visitors arising from the Civil Code.

Final provisions

* The visiting regulations are available on the museum’s website and in printed form at the ticket counter.

* The content of this document can be printed, recorded, or downloaded from the museum’s website at any time for personal use.

* In the event of a dispute arising from the purchase agreement, the parties will seek an amicable resolution.

* Each visitor has the right to use out-of-court methods for examining complaints and claims.

* The visitor can request mediation. Lists of permanent mediators and available mediation centers are provided and made accessible by the courts.

* The museum reserves the right to make changes to the museum regulations.

* The regulations came into force on May 15, 2023.
