Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church

The Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church is a Protestant church in Berlin, Germany. Located on the Kurfürstendamm in the city center, the church was severely damaged during World War II and left in ruins as a memorial to those who died in the war. The current building, constructed between 1959 and 1963, is a modern design by Egon Eiermann. It consists of a church hall with an attached foyer and a separate belfry with an attached chapel. The remaining ruins of the old church are preserved in the middle of the inner courtyard and serve as a memorial.
